Newborn Photography in York - Capture timeless moments
Your new baby has just arrived fresh into the outside world, your lives have completely changed and you are in absolute awe of this tiny person you created! If there is one thing I could say about this beautiful Newborn bubble, is that it does not last long enough, babies grow SO quickly!
Newborn photography is a wonderful way to capture these beautiful moments. It allows you to document the delicate features of your baby, the way they curl up in your arms, and the joy of becoming or expanding your family. My sessions offer a blend of natural, semi-posed, family, and sibling portraits, ensuring a diverse gallery that reflects your family’s unique style - whether you prefer soft neutrals or vibrant colours. These timeless images will be a cherished reminder as your baby grows into their own little person.
The best time for newborn photography is within the first 2-3 weeks of after birth. During this period, babies are typically sleepier and more likely to curl up into those adorable poses. After this window, babies tend to be more alert and stretch out, which may affect the types of natural poses we can achieve. However, if your baby is older, don't worry - I'm happy to discuss whether a traditional / mini newborn session or a baby photography session would be the best fit for your needs.

Newborn sessions often last up to 2-3 hours, this allows plenty of time for feeding and relaxing your baby and encouraging them to fall asleep after your family (and any sibling) images.
I have a variety of newborn props to choose from during your session, including backdrops, blankets, layering fabrics, wraps and baskets/boxes. Upon arrival, we will discuss what your preferred colour palette is and what props you would like to use.
A £49 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking, this is deducted from the lowest package with the remaining balance (£170) due on the day of your photoshoot. You can then upgrade to the middle or top package after viewing your images if you wish to do so. Payment plans are available, please enquire about this.
Following your session I professionally hand-edit the best of your images, (25+) and these will be ready within two weeks to view in your own personal private online gallery. This will remain open for 48 hours for you to view at your leisure and choose which package you would like. Additional digital images and/or prints are available to purchase after choosing your package.

For those of you who wish to have a shorter and more simple Newborn Photoshoot, this bespoke package is for you.
-45 minute (approx.) studio session including family/sibling images, 1 prop set and 1 crib set. Neutral vibes and natural moments, no posing.
£49 to book then two packages to choose from;
Mini Package 1 - £100 - 4 Digital images with matching 5"x 7" loose prints.
Mini Package 2 - £200 - 8 Digital images with matching 5"x 7" loose prints and One luxury mounted 8"x 6"print.
