Your baby's first birthday is a BIG milestone and definitely something worth celebrating!
Our 1st birthday cake smash & splash sessions are a great way to document this milestone and we have plenty to offer.
We start with a few natural portrait style images, when your baby is clean before we bring the cake out. Then, your baby gets changed into their cake smash outfit (which I can provide or you can bring along one of your own) and we move to the bespoke custom backdrop that you have chosen for the main event. -After booking in your session, we will discuss what colours or theme you would like for the cake smash backdrop, this can be as minimal or as colourful as you like and we can pretty much do anything!
A bespoke cake will be provided for your baby to smash during the session, this is supplied by a local registered cake maker with a full list of ingredients. If your baby has any known allergies or you would prefer to bring along your own cake, please discuss this with me prior to booking.
When your baby has finished with the cake, we bring in a little tub bath to have a splash in with bubbles whilst I capture a few last images, with the added bonus of being able to wash off all that sticky icing!
We have many different kinds of decorations available to bring your theme to life, including balloons, tissue pompoms, bunting, framing hoops, artificial floor bubbles, layering fabrics, fairy lights, faux flowers and much more! Your bespoke backdrop can be as minimal or as full as you desire, please see our Cake Smash gallery for examples.
We also have a mini Birthday session to offer, our truly unique Little Cupcake sessions. These are great for those who wish to have a shorter session, don't like food waste or simply want simple. We have the sweetest little cake stands, perfect size for a little cupcake (which is also included in your session). These can take place in the studio or at an outdoor location in or around York, and are also a popular birthday celebration for those turning 2 years old.

A £49 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking, this is deducted from the lowest package* with the remaining balance (£170) due on the day of your photoshoot. You can then upgrade to the middle or top package after viewing your images if you wish to do so. Payment plans are available, please enquire about this.
*When booking the 'Little Cupcake' photoshoot, £49 is due when booking and the remaining £80 is due on the day'
Following your session I professionally and lightly hand-edit the best of your images, (25+) and these will be ready within two weeks to view in your personal online private viewing gallery. This will remain open for 48 hours for you to view at your leisure and choose which package you would like. Additional digital images and/or prints are available to purchase after choosing your package.
