Pregnancy is such a unique, beautiful, often difficult, but magical time in your life. How incredible is it that you can grow a whole little human inside your tummy?! Many mothers don't feel like having photographs taken during pregnancy, and I get it; you don't feel yourself, your whole body shifts and changes, your tummy expands and towards the end you can starts to feel really tired and uncomfortable. Sometimes your pregnancy has been met with hurdles, nausea, anxiety, and lots of appointments, it isn't always plain sailing, but hopefully out of every pregnancy there comes feelings of excitement, marvel, joy and impatience as the weeks and months tick by for baby arriving. It is such a whirlwind journey to meet your baby, a journey which I feel deserves to be captured; I think every pregnant mother looks completely beautiful, and there's nothing quite like a baby bump to smile about. Pregnancy is a big part of your parenthood... wondering who is in there, what are they going to look like... picking out names, possibly finding out the gender... teeny outfit shopping! So embrace and document this part of your parenthood journey with beautiful images to treasure always, and to show your baby when they're older.

Maternity photoshoots can take place either in my lovely York studio in central Acomb, or at an outdoor location in/around York. In my studio, I do have a selection of neutral maternity outfits you can look though, but a full what-to-wear guide will be detailed on your booking email. There is no heavy posing, just gentle guidance to get the most relaxed and natural looking images for you to choose from. You will also get to take home a beautiful bunch of flowers that we will use during your session.
