Autumn Mini Photoshoots

Sadly it's goodbye summer, but HELLO AUTUMN!!

I love the season of autumn, it is THE cosy season when the lower sun still has some warmth, we can manage most days in soft jumpers rather than mandatory coats, and the colours as the leaves change are just incredible!

Autumn photoshoots are available now until mid november, various dates are available because I can be flexible around my studio sessions and because we are at the mercy of the great british weather!

Ideally photoshoots will take place during the morning from 9am-11am and then afternoon time from 2pm, but as the sun is setting earlier with each passing day and is lower in the sky, as we near mid october we don't necessarily need to avoid high sun at midday and sessions will finish by 4pm before it starts to get dark.

Autumn photoshoots are PERFECT for updating those natural family portraits and capturing children gorwing up, and due to the time of year they take place they can make beautiful gifts for family members at Christmas just a few months away!

Being outdoors, children have the ability to move around freely, play with the leaves, explore the nature around them while we capture those natural expressions, happy smiles and family together-ness.

Here are some FAQ's you may have;

-How can I book an Autumn photoshoot?

If you head to the contact page (scroll down and hit the button!) you can fill out an enquiry form with your preferred dates (it is a good idea to have a backup date or two for us to fall back on should we need to postpone if the weather is wet) and I will get in touch to start the booking process.

-How much are the photoshoots?

To secure your Autumn Mini session, a £25 session fee is due at the time of booking.

After viewing your beautiful finished images you have two packages to choose from;

Package 1 - £115 - 5 digital images.

Package 2 - £160 - 8 digital images with matching 5" x 7" prints,

plus one luxury mounted 8"x 6" print.

-Where will the photoshoots be taking place?

Here in York we are lucky to have so many beautiful open spaces which are perfect for outdoor photoshoots, and these change with the seasons, so you will have a choice of locations for your photoshoot. These will all be within or just outside the city center, very accessible and suitable for all ages. Loctions will be discussed during your booking process.

-How long will the photoshoot last?

Mini sessions are always shorter in length to my full photoshoots, so we're looking at around 30 minutes or so. Just enough time to capture a lovely variety of images!

-What should we wear?

I love the warm tones of autumn, and here are a number of colours which really work when it comes to clothing;

Autumn colour palette

Earthy shades, like beige, brown, dark green. Light colours like white and cream. Warm tones like red, yellow and orange. Plum and navy also work really well!
